Better Sofia, by Anna Jones, 10

I live in Sofia. There are a lot of problems here like homeless people, litter and homeless dogs.

In my opinion rich people should build homes for the homeless people because I see so many of them on the streets and I wish I could see them laugh and have a nice time!

Litter and rubbish are some of the worst things in Sofia. When I walk to school, I see cigarette butts on every step I make. Or in the parks there is rubbish everywhere just not in the bins. That's what I hate about Sofia as well.

Homeless dogs are dangerous sometimes and they always want food from you, so be careful! A friend of mine once was walking down the street and some homeless dogs were behind him. Then they started running at him and he didn't know what to do.They started to bark and try to bite him but he jumped over a fence and he saved his life. Now you can see how dangerous they can be, but it isn't their fault - it's their ex-owners fault. I think homeless dogs should be kept in shelters, so people can adopt them.

I wish Sofia will be a better place in a couple of years!!!;)

J-Lo in Bulgaria, by Ioana Cheshirkova, 11

On 18th of November I went to Jenifer Lopes’ concert at the “Arena Armeec” hall with my friends. This concert was part of her new world tour “Dance again World Tour”.
The audience was heated by Lora Karajova, Grafa and Bobo who sang on stage before Jenifer - they made great fun for everybody.
“Are you ready Sofia? Because you don’t have a choice!”, she cried when she appeared.
Jenifer was great! The theme of the first part of the concert was Old Hollywood. She sang “Get right”, ”Love don’t cost a thing”, “I’m into you” and “Waiting for tonight”.
The second part was called “Back to the Bronx”.It started with a boxing video set to the song "Louboutins". The message was "Get back when you fall down". The boxing ring then appeared on stage and Lopez emerges with a different costume, and sang "Going In". She sang "I'm Real", "All I Have" and the remix version of "Ain't It Funny". She finished this part of the concert with "Jenny from the Block". Before performing the song, Lopez said: "I'm just a simple girl from Bronx. Don't believe all this glitter. I'm just a girl from New York, a long way from home."
The third part of the  concert was based around "Funk & Love" with an old-school uptown theatre theme. During the intermission between the second and third part, a video clip of Lopez and her boyfriend to the song “Baby I love you” plays. Then she sang “Hold it, don’t drop it”, “I’m glad”, “Brave”, etc. During the show she changed 8 costumes. J-Lo communicated with the audience all the time. She exhorted all to love because it is the most important feeling in the world.
At the end of the show Jenifer fell on her knees while she was holding the Bulgarian flag raised high.
The concert was fantastic. We all sang and danced and enjoyed it!

SOS Planet

Big Yellow Taxi - Lyrics, Counting Crows

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til its gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

They took all the trees
And put 'em in a tree museum...

What can we do to save our planet?

The Parachute, by Dimitar Spasov, 10

The Parachute - PowerPoint Presentation

I’m going to tell you about the parachute.
The man who invented the parachute was Leonardo da Vinchi from Italy. He got the idea in around 1512. One day when he was watching the birds in the sky, he noticed the birds landed gently to the ground. Leonardo made the first sketch of a parachute.
It is a very good invention because it helps people to jump safely from very high places. The Parachute was used by the army during World War I and II.
